Born in Greenville, Bob was the son of Ruth Shandon Bagwell and the late Carl M. Bagwell. He attended Wade Hampton High School and was self-employed as a paving contractor.
Bob had a tremendous passion for life. His colorful style and love for life allowed him to live each day to its fullest. Bob's trusting nature and big heart were his most endearing qualities, and his love for family and friends will never be lost.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his mother, Ruth Shandon Bagwell; his brother, Richard Bagwell and wife Donna; his sister, Pamela B. Free and husband Greg; and his dearly loved dogs, Jed and Luke.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 4 to 6 p.m. at The Mackey Mortuary, Century Drive. Funeral services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at The Mackey Mortuary, followed by burial at Graceland East Memorial Park.
