Leah WARD, aged 74 and a lifetime resident of the county, died Monday at Ochiltree General Hospital.
Services were scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at the First Baptist Church. Rev. Jack Pierce would officiate. Burial would follow in Ochiltree Cemetery under the direction of Boxwell Brothers.
She was born on January 24, 1909, the daughter of Bart and Nora HOLLAND. She was a member of the First Baptist Church and for many years operated the House of Beauty in Perryton.
Surviving are her husband, R. R. WARD of Perryton; a son, Jerry WARD of Shandon, California; five sisters, Gladys BLACKMORE of Perryton, Bernice DAY of Amarillo, DeVerl BLACK of Amarillo, Velma DALE of Leon, Iowa, and Blanche PUGH of Boise City, Oklahoma; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
