Born February 4, 1930 in Jackson, he was the son of Robert E. and Velma (Cauthon) Strouss. Uncle Lloyd went to be with Jesus when he lost the battle to cancer. He was married to Nancy Eriksen and they had 4 children. My Uncle Lloyd always had a smile on his face. His laughter filled the room and soon everyone was laughing. He loved all children and laughed at the smallest thing they did. I never once felt sad when I was around him, his smile could light up a room.

I have a beautiful letter Uncle Lloyd wrote to my dad. Uncle Lloyd told my dad not to be so sad that he was dying. He said brother Marve, Roses will bloom again. He said that one day they would be in Heaven together for all eternity.

Uncle Lloyd had his own business in Jackson,Michigan. It was called Strouss Builder Lloyd F

Surviving are his wife, Nancy, 4 children; Kerry, Linda, Steven, and Jonathan, and grandchildren, brothers; Marve Strouss of Monroe, Charles "Emmett" of Concord; three sisters, Jean (George) Donoho and Betty (Dale) Vogel both of Horton, and Charlotte (Virgil) Brown of Jackson. He was preceded in death by a brother, Robert, and a sister, Marjorie Strouss.

**Thank you Sherri for sponsoring my precious uncle.**

**Thank you April May for the photos of my uncle's headstone. **

I love this poem:

God called your name so softly,
That only you could hear,
And no one heard the footsteps
Of angels drawing near.
It broke our hearts to lose you
But you did not go alone,
For part of us went with you,
The day God called you home.

You're always close beside us,
In everything we do,
You were our greatest treasure,
God's gift to us was you.

We always remember that way you looked,
The way you talked and smiled,
The little things you said and did
To make our lives worthwhile.

Each time we look at your picture,
You seem to smile and say,
Don't be sad but courage take
And love each other for my sake.
