Mrs. Minnie N. Welz, mother of David Roush of Grand Island, died Sunday afternoon in the Odd Fellows Home at York. She was 94 years of age. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. from the chapel of the Apfel-Butler-Geddes Funeral Home, with the Rev. James Chubb officiating. Interment will be in the Grand Island Cemetery. The family suggests memorials to the I.O.O.F. Home at York.

She was born Feb. 8, 1877, at Creston, Iowa, the daughter of John and Barbara Morgan Dennis. She moved with her parents to Ord in 1885, moving to Grand Island several years later, where she attended the Grand Island schools. Mrs. Welz completed her education at the Grand Island Baptist College. Mrs. Welz was baptized in Trinity Methodist Church. She was united in marriage on April 11, 1896, to Edward O. Roush, a teacher who later became a dairyman. The family moved to Long Beach, Calif. In 1939, Mr. Roush began his association with his son-in-law in the W. F. McPheeters Auto Sales. Mr. Roush died in 1942.

Mrs. Roush was married in 19? (copy illegible) to Will? Weir( Or Welz?). They resided in Elsmore?, Calif, until Mr. Weir's death in 1951. Mrs. Weir continued to make her home in California, until entering the Odd Fellows Home in York in May of 1967.

She is survived by two sons, Clyde Roush of Council Bluffs, Iowa, and David Roush of Grand Island; a daughter, Mrs. Pearl R. Manners of Ft. Collins, Colo.; 16 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Cora D. Larsen of Carlsbad, Calif. She was preceded in death by her husbands; a son, Orval; a daughter, Ruby; five brothers and three sisters.
