Earl Donald Ainsworth, 78, passed away Thursday, August 12, 2010, at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson. Visitation will be 9am until the 10am funeral service Monday, August 16, 2010, at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram. Interment will be at Biloxi National Cemetery.

Mr. Ainsworth was a native of Jayess, MS, born November 1, 1931, to Hollis and Beulah Spencer Ainsworth. He moved to the Jackson/Byram area in 1972 after retiring from the U.S. Air Force with 21 years of service and also worked as a Ground Communication Technician and retired from the White House Communications Agency under President Nixon.

He is preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Francis Hall and Peggy Hill.

Survivors included his wife of 63 years, Rosemary Ainsworth of Byram; sons, Gary Ainsworth (Kris) of Idaho and Jerry Ainsworth (Pamela) of Byram; daughter, Julie Burkett (William) of Pearl; brother, James Ainsworth; sisters, Roberta Holt and Betty Sue Claycomb; 10 grandchildren and a host of great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Blair E. Batson Hospital for Children.
