Gerald A Corder died Sunday (Feb 12 1994) at Hillcrest Nursing Home in McCook. He was 78 years old. He was born Dec 24, 1916 in Holbrook to John F and Mabel E (Roggensees) Corder. At the of dix the family moved to McCook. He was a 1935 graduate of McCook High School and employed by Burlington Railroad.
On April 19,1938 he married Marguerite Petersen at Atwood. They returned to McCook where he was employed by Volentine Auto and in 1947, Budig Motor Co.,as a auto body repairman,retiring in 1979.
He was a life member of the Mccook Elks lodge and Good Sam's Camping Club.
Preceding him in death were his parents and brother
Earl and a sister Arlene.
Survivors include his wife of Mccook;one daughter, Carolyn and husband Claude Miller, of Colby,Kansas;one sone Jerry Corder and wife Lillie,of Mccook;three bothers,Dale Corder,and wife Alice,and John Corder and wife,Dorthy,all of McCook,and Marvin Corder and wife,Orian, of Glenwood,Ill.;two sisters, Leila and husband, Edward Branscome of San Diego, Calif., and Gwendolyn and husband,Tobias Deviers of Arapahoe; eight grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
