MATHEWS- William Harry Forrest, 79, passed away Wednesday at his home at Diggs, following a lingering illness. Mr. Forrest was an electoral judge for Mathews County for a number of years.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mayme King Forrest, of Diggs; one sister, Mrs. C. T. Banks, of Mathews; a brother, Capt. John H. Forrest, of Diggs; several nephews and nieces.

Funeral services were held on Friday, March 29 at 11 a.m. from the chapel of Forrest Funeral Home, with services conducted by the Rev. W. C. Diggs, assisted by the Rev. Otis L. Gilliam.

Interment followed in Milford Haven Cemetery, Moon, Va.

Pallbearers were W. T. Van Doren, C. L. Booker, Russell Driscoll, Thomas Parker, F. M. Shirey and W. Morgan.
