COOKEVILLE - Funeral services for Edna McCulley Lawson, 88, of Cookeville will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 7, at Hooper & Huddleston Funeral Home.

Burial will be in Cookeville City Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Lawson died on Wednesday, Nov. 4, 1998, at the Oak Ridge Retirement Community.

She was born on March 27, 1910, to the late James Hayes and Minnie Kirby McCulley. Mrs. Lawson was a long-time member of Shipley Methodist Church.

Her family includes her daughter, Betty L. McDowell of Knoxville; two grandsons, William L. McDowell and wife, Margaret of Knoxville and Stephen McDowell of Marietta, Ga.; a great-grandson, Stuart McDowell of Knoxville; a sister-in-law, Lilyon McCulley of Cookeville; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Herbert Lawson, all of her brothers and sisters and her son-in-law.

Rev. Bratton Tucker will officiate at the services.
