She was a member of South Fork UM Church for 80 years. She met her husband there, and taught Sunday School for many years. She was active in the quilting bee at church and made about 35-40 quilts in her lifetime. Serving church dinners was another of her activities. She was an avid Republican and helped with the local elections.
