Loraine F. Voorhees, 83, died at 7:35 a.m. Sunday, August 1, 2010, at Robings Manor Nursing Home in Brighton.
She was born March 8, 1927, in Godfrey to Emil and Ollie (Harrington) Hanser.
She married Eugene Voorhees February 22, 1946, in Godfrey. He survives.
She had worked at Harold's Market in Godfrey.
Survivors include one son, Richad Voorhees of Alton.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one son, Harry E. Voorhees.
Visitation will take place from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, August 3, at Targhetta & Wooldridge Funeral Home in Brighton, where services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, August 4. The Rev. Chris Hucker will officiate.
Burial will be at Valhalla Memorial Park Cemetery in Godfrey.
Memorials may be made to 5As Humane Society or Hope Rescue.
