Margaret Madonna Dailey was born on Oct. 15, 1895 in Gallatin County, Illinois to Daniel James Dailey and the former Florence White. She attended Northwestern University and became a teacher in Racine, Wisconsin. She married Earl J. Mulqueen Sr. on Nov. 23, 1920 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Racine. Eleven children were born to their union: Margaret, Earl Jr., Patrick, Tinker, John, Edward, Mary, Rita (Sister Madonna Marie, OSF), Ruth, Joan and Joseph. In the mid-1920s, the family moved to a home on East Cudahy Avenue in Cudahy, where Margaret spent the rest of her life. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, son Earl Jr. and daughter-in-law Evelyn.

Below is the obituary from the March 17, 1982 issue of The Milwaukee Journal:

MULQUEEN, Margaret M. — (Dailey) Born to Fullness of Life, March 15. Beloved mother of Margaret Freimark, Patrick (Ruth), Tom (Lois), Edward (Marie), Mary (David) Hanneman, Sr. Madonna Marie OSF, Ruth (Tom) McShane, Joan (Richard) Haske and Joseph (Judy). Dear mother-in-law of Eleanor. Dear sister of Tom (Ruth) Dailey and June Sadorf. Also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Member of Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW, GJG Germanian, Marine Corps League Auxiliary, Milwaukee, and St. Isaac Jogues Jesuit Mission Circle. Visitation 8 a.m. Thurs., March 18 at ST. FREDERICK'S CHURCH, Plankinton and Kirkwood Ave. with liturgy at 9 a.m. Interment Holy Sepulcher Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, send contributions to St. Isaac Jogues Jesuit Mission Circle, c/o Home State Bank, 1001 Marquette Ave., South Milwaukee, WI 53172.
