Burl L. Shepard, 81, of Plainview passed away Saturday, August 14, 2010 in Plainview.

Funeral Services will be at 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, August 18, 2010 in Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel. Burial will follow in Parklawn Memorial Gardens under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview.

Mr. Shepard was born on August 28, 1928 in Ravenna, Texas to Burl E. and Annie Abbott Shepard. He married Mary Ann Fishel on September 9, 1949 in Assumption, Illinois. He owned and operated Burl's Appliance Service in Plainview. Mr. Shepard enjoyed fishing and he could often be found drinking coffee at the Nu Griddle Café.

Burl is survived by his wife: Mary Ann Shepard of Plainview; three daughters: Linda Langston of Odessa, Carolyn Bradley of Plainview and Pam Seamonds of Commanche; one son: Mike Shepard of Universal City; one sister: Betty Hartis; six grandchildren; eight great grandchildren and his best buddy "Rowdy."

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and one brother. Memorials may be made to a charity of choice.
