Mrs. Martha Hutson Forrest, aged 80, died at Mrs. Young's Nursing Home, Tuesday afternoon in Norfolk, after an illness of two and one-half years. She was a native of Mathews county, and had been a resident of Norfolk (for) 21 years. Mrs. Forrest was the widow of Hezekiah Muse Forrest and daughter of William and Mary Ann Jarvis Hutson. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. W. F. Blankenship, Norfolk; and Mrs. Neal A. Mitchell of Worcester, Mass.; four sons, Charles W. Forrest, of Gloucester Point; Capt. H. P. Forrest of Panama Canal Zone, and B. V. Forrest of Mathews; two brothers, Monroe Hutson and George L. Hutson of Mathews; two sisters, Mrs. Wesley Ripley and Mrs. Burley Hudgins of Mathews; 12 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted at the Cox Funeral Home on Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock. The Rev. L. O. Wilburn, pastor of the Chesapeake Avenue Methodist church, South Norfolk, and the Rev. G. E. Hopkins, pastor of Lekies Methodist church, officiating. Burial was made in Forest Lawn cemetery.
