Survivors include his wife: Hilda DeGross; mother, Bernadette Metz; sons, John and Joel DeGross and Herby Hope, Jr.; daughters, Misty and Erin DeGross, Joi Hope Thomas and Lori Hope; two brothers; four sisters; and 7 grandchildren.
