Phillip N. Larimore, 65, of Lubbock graduated from Olney High school and Hardin-Simmons University. Philip Norris Larimore was a County Commissioner of Young County. He was tax auditor for Texas Employment Commission for a number of years. He served as deacon at the First Baptist Church in Olney., retiring as the commission's district director of tax auditors. He was involved in family and ranching in Young and Throckmorton counties.

married 27 July 1947.

A veteran of World War II serving in the Army Air Corps.

He moved to Lubbock in 1968.

Survived by his wife; three sons - Phillip Larimore of Lewisville, John L. Larimore of Lubbock and Stephen L. Larimore of Wichita Fallas; one brother - Neil Larimore of Olney; one sister - Marilyn Hannah of San Antonio; four grandchildren.

Sgt. Philip N. Larimore, son of Mr. and mrs. E. J. Larimore, Olney, attended Olney High. Entered Army AF in 1942, trained at Hammer Field, Cal., Camp Davis, N. C., Camp Edwards, Mass., and Nebraska. Served in N. Africa, Italy, and Trinidad. Awarded ETO with 7 stars, Victory, GCM, Amer. Theater, and Dist. Unit Cit. Discharged in 1945.
