Plat book record states "Died June 19/54, reinterred from Shockoe Cem May 21, 1880". This is the same date Rt. Rev. Richard Moore was reinterred here, likely by the lot purchaser, Richard's daughter Mary Ann Moore, and a month after Rev. Richard's 2nd wife Sarah was interred here. I'd venture a guess, this is the original stone from 1854. Quite beautiful, but badly weathered.
