COOKEVILLE Funeral services for Jerry Eskell Slagle, 54 will be held in the chapel of Dyer Funeral Home at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 30, with Bro. Johnny Fox and Bro. Alan Smith officiating and burial following in Cookeville City Cemetery.
A native of Oklahoma, Mr. Slagle was pronounced dead on arrival at Cookeville General Hospital on Wednesday, May 27. He was an employee of the TTU Food Services Dept. and was a former employee of the Herald Citizen.
The son of the late Ira and Vola Slagle, Mr. Slagle was a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife, Marie Dyer Slagle; a son, Lewis Ray Slagle; a daughter, Shirley Hogue; two
brothers, John Slagle of Greenbrier and Jim Slagle of Cartersville, Georgia; two sisters, Mrs. James Ragland of Michigan and Mrs. Willie Dale of Greenbrier; and four grandchildren.
