He was born in Rob Roy on Sept. 30, 1921 to the late Glen S. and Maude Eubank Bowman. On Dec. 4, 1942, he married Anna Louise Snider in Lafayette. She survives.
Also surviving are, a son, the Rev. Steven Bowman (wife: Charlotte); a daughter, Cheryl Roach (husband: Ivan "Pud"); a sister, Hazel Morgan (husband: Everett), all of Attica; 3 granddaughters, Charlotte (Dewayne) Wilson, Heather (Mike) Brinkman, and Delisa (Bill) Farrar, all of Attica and 10 great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by 4 sisters, Irene Royals, Ruth Fouch, Mildred Smith and JoAnn Charles; a granddaughter and 2 great-grandchildren.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
