Marion Housley Long was the son of John Monroe and Tryphena Allen Long. He married Willie Azalee Owens on August 6, 1908. To this union 4 children were born.
Services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the First Freewill Baptist Church, Mountain Grove, for Marion Housley Long, 77, who died at his home here, Monday morning.
Survivors are his wife, Azalee of the home; two sons, Lowell of Chicago, Ill., and Hewell, Bakersfield, Calif.; two daughters, Miss Lola Long of the home and Mrs. Avena Williams, Norwood; five sisters, Mrs. Bessie Griffith, Salinas, Calif., Mrs. Dale Robinson, Wichita, Mrs. Jewell Grogan, Chanute, Kan., Mrs. Myrtle Coday and Mrs. Frona Barnes, Mountain Grove.
The Rev. O. T. Dixon officiated and burial was in Thomas Cemetery, Norwood, under direction of Craig-Hurtt.
