Mary Ann Whitehead, 54, died Nov. 6, after a lengthy illness. Graveside services were held Nov. 8, at the Oakwood Cemetery with Rev. Ed Wright officiating.
Mrs. Whitehead was born Dec. 14, 1944, in Meridian, the daughter of Fan and Cliffie Jorganson Gandy. She was married to Jerry Floyd Whitehead on Oct. 1, 1946.
She was a cook for the school cafeteria and for the Dinner Bell Restaurant, a homemaker, and a member of the Littleville Baptist Church. Her parents preceded Mrs. Whiehead in death.
Survivors include her husband, Jerry Floyd Whiehead of Hamilton; a daughter, Sabrina Ann Clark and a son Danny Floyd Whitehead, both of Hamilton; two grandchildren, Christopher Shaw Clark and Bridgette Nicole Clark; a sister, Thelma and her husband Foster Ditmore of Sterling City and a brother Durwood Gandy of Whitney.
