Florence Marie Williamson, 63, of Monroe passed away at 4:10 a.m. Thursday in Mercy M e m o r i a l Hospital.
Born May 6, 1947, in Ro s e v i l l e , Califor nia, she was the daughter of Oakley Ridner and Nola Vandergrift. She married Kyle Williamson November 21, 1963 in Monroe.
At age 13 her family moved to Monroe from California; she has been here for 50 years.
She attended Gateway Baptist Church.
In addition to her husband Kyle, of 46 years, she is survived by her children Roger Eugene Williamson, Malinda Maria Williamson, both of Monroe, and Yvonne Nicole Flynn of Newport; 2 sisters Phyllis Fortner of Monroe and Kathy Jay of Maine; a brother Gary Ridner of CA; and also by 3 grandchildren Ann Marie Simpson, Violet Nicole Simpson and Patrick Flynn.
Florence was preceded in death by 2 sisters Carolyn Fackler and Linda Wright; and a brother Arnold Ridner.
Friends may visit Saturday and Sunday from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Bennett Funeral Home, 14567 S. Dixie Hwy. where services will be held on Monday at 11:00 a.m. officiated by Reverend Dan Hardin of Gateway Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Park.
