Lurlene Carr McCormick, a resident of Cookeville. passed away on Saturday, October 25, 2008 at the Morningside Assisted Living of Cookeville. Mrs. McCormick was born in Overton County, TN on August 18 1910, the daughter of R.H Carr and Mary Etta Ledbetter.
She served as a school teacher for 43 years in the Putnam County School System. She was a member of the Church of God.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Arva D. McCormick: one sister, Martha Carr Finn; four brothers, William Harrison, James Copeland, Ezra Allison and Thomas Richard Carr. She is survived by several nieces and nephews.
Graveside Services were held Sunday, October 26, 2008 at 3:00 p.m. at the Cookeville City Cemetery. Brother Ralph Dunn officiated.
