Chillicothe, IL - Joyce A. Ohlmann , 63, of 1510 N. Second St. died at 5 p.m. Friday, Nov. 7, 2003, at Methodist Medical Center in Peoria, IL.

Born Dec. 27, 1939, in McDonough County to Robert R. "Bob" and Mildren "Midge" Slater Blagden, she married Lester William Ohlmann on Feb. 9, 1958, in Chillicothe. He survives.

Also surviving are her mother, Mildren (and Les) Evans of Wyoming; three daughters, Carla (and Mike) Gaskins, Marla Goard and Lesta "Jody" (and Brian) McDaniel, all of Chillicothe; three sons, Lester "Buddy" Jr. (and Mary) and Jack, both of Chillicothe, and Jeffrey "Todd" of Montana; one brother, Jack Bailey of Laura; one sister, Janeen (and Jack) Scherer of Wyoming; 12 grandchildren; four step grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and six step great-grandchildren.

She and her husband opened their home to more than 50 people in need.

She bowled in many leagues, winning many awards.

She also raced stock cars during the 1960s at the Peoria Speedway.

She helped operate the family business, Tojo's Bait Shop, until its closing this year because of her illness.

Cremation has been accorded.
