Per TVA records, original gravesite was at Holston Valley Church Cemetery, Plot 23-110, Sullivan County, Tennessee. Due to construction of the TVA's South Holston Reservoir Project, in 1947 the gravesite was relocated to this "new" Holston Valley Church Cemetery, from its original site. Many of the gravesites were not relocated and remain under the waters of the reservoir.
