Mr. Scott
Dois Manual Scott, 70, 23 Locust St., Riverside Community, died Monday in a Rome hospital following a brief illness.
Mr. Scott was born in Cherokee Co AL son of the late Samuel Matthew Scott and Cosby Alice Thacker Scott, and had been a resident of Gadsden, AL for 30 years before moving to Rome in 1974. He was a member of the Friendship Baptist Church. Prior to retirement he was employed at Goodyear in Gadsden.
Funeral services will be held at 2 pm Wednesday at the Heritage Chapel of Jennings Funeral Home with the Revs. Ken Hinkley and Bob Patterson officiating. Interment will be in East View Cemetery.
Members of the Men's Bible Class of Friendship Baptist Church will serve as active and honorary pallbearers.
