Cary BockoverCHANUTE — Cary J. Bockover Sr., 59, of Moran, Kan., died Tuesday at the Allen County Hospital in Iola.He was born May 9,1916 in Vilas, Kan. to Warren Frank and Virgie Bockover. On Aug. 8, 1937, he married Emma Caldwell in Independence.He was a life-time resident of the area. He was employed as oil production foreman for Inexco Oil Company. He was a veteran of World War II, and a member of the American Legion in Chanute and Moran, and a member of the V.F.W. in Chanute. He was also a member of the Church of God in Moran.Survivors include the widow of the home; two daughters, Linda McAbee and Carolyn Montgomery, both of Chanute; seven sons, Vernon, Independence; Kenneth, Osborn, Kan.; Cary J., Charles, Richard, all of Chanute; Rickey, Kansas City Mo.; James of the home; his mother, Mrs. Virgie Bockover, Chanute; three brothers, Bill, Northridge, Calif.; Robert, Yates Center; Stephen, Chanute; seven sisters, Leona Haughs, Heber Springs, Ark., Ellen Logan, Chanute; Marjie Adams, Ft. Bragg, Calif.; Ima Jean Brunei!, Las Vegas, Nev.; Rosemary O'Gilvie, Chanute; Anita Taylor, Pittsburg, Calif.; Sandra Bockover, Chanute; 23 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.Services will be held today at 2 p.m. at the Johnson Mortuary in Chanute, with the Rev. Ira S. Wiley officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery
