Kirkland Succumbs At Eden; Funeral Set TodayEDEN, June 12 (SC) -- George Washington Kirkland, 43, died at his home here at 2 a.m. Tuesday following a lingering illness.Funeral services are to be held from the Baptist Church here at 5p.m. Wednesday with the Rev. R. A. Scranton, pastor in charge. Burial is to be in the Eden Cemetery under direction of Day-Loveless Funeral Home.Mr. Kirkland was born Jan. 15, 1902, in Coleman County. He had lived in Eden since 1928.Survivors include his widow (Imogene) ; a daughter, Patsy Jean; one sister, Mrs. Loyette Neeper of Sweetwater, and three brothers, J, C., Jessie, and Raymond, all of Whittier, Calif.
