Sgt. 1st Class Amos C. Edwards of Savannah, Georgia graduated from J.H. Rose High School in 1984. Upon graduation, "Frog" entered the United States Army where he was on a Tour of Duty in Rueba, Iraq. He leaves precious memories to his wife, Linda Edwards; three children, Shawndavia and Natia and Karnesha; his parents, Frances Carr and the Rev. Amos C. Edwards Sr.; four sisters, Mary Bell, and Adrienne Carr, Reco Jackson and Deatrice Fillmore; two brothers, Derrick Edwards and Curtis Fillmore; his paternal grandmother, Mary Edwards; his mother-in-law, Evelyn Walls; 13 aunts; eight uncles; four brothers-in-law; three sisters-in-law; three godchildren; three nieces; six nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends. He died at age 41 from a non-combat-related cause in Rutbah, Iraq.
