Delphine B. Suit, 81, of Martinsville, died Monday, Sept. 13, 2004, at Memorial Hospital in Martinsville.
Born Aug. 23, 1923, in Martinsville, she was a daughter of Andrew Jackson Beck Sr. and Bessie Gregory Beck.
She graduated from Martinsville High School and James Madison University. She worked for the U.S. Senate for former Sen. John Stinnis and Sen. A. Willis Robertson for 33 years as a media expert. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Martinsville.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Lee Suit III.
Surviving are one brother, Andrew Jackson Beck Jr. of Princeton, W.Va.; one niece; and one nephew.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday at McKee-Stone Funeral Services with the Rev. John Fulcher and the Rev. J.D. Wimbush officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at McKee-Stone Funeral Services from 7-8:30 p.m. today.
