Mary Ann married Banner Hess on September 5, 1872 in Belfast Township, Fulton County, Pennsylvania. This marriage produced 5 children. The first three children were all born in Pennsylvania. The last two children were born in Maryland. Eldest daughter Lydia was named after Mary Ann's mother Lydia.
