The funeral service for Eva Griffin Hogan, 65, of Fitzgerald, who died September 20, 1993 at her residence, was held at the Big Creek Church in Irwin County. Interment was in Big Creek Cemetery.
Born on December 6, 1927 in Brooks County, she was the daughter of John The Baptist Griffin and Melissa Akins Griffin. A homemaker and a nurses aide, she had lived in Fitzgerald for one year, moving from Pavo. She was a member of Pavo Church of God. Her late husband, R. T. Hogan preceded her in death.
Survivors include 4 sons: T. H., Bobby, Jimmy and Billy Hogan; 5 daughters: Betty Lavender, Dale Glass, Shirley Hogan and Kathy Law and Carolyn Hall; one brother: Oscar Griffin of Tallahassee, FL. and several grandchildren.
