Mr. Pierce died at 3:55 p.m. Sunday in LaSalle General Hospital at Jena after a lengthy illness.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Maudie Pierce of Aimwell; two brothers, C. E. Pierce of Houston, Tex. and W. S. Pierce of Buna, Tex.; one sister, Mrs. Gracie Wright of Manifest; and three half-sisters, Mrs. Latricia Gunstream of Orange, Tex., Mrs. Evon Kelly of California and Mrs. Bessier Rosier of Jena.

Gravesite Details
Both Mr. Pierce's obituary and his 1940 census record (Orange County, TX), give his middle name as Malcolm. However, his 1917 WW I draft registration card gives is as Millard.
