Grand dad Montgomery was a hard working man. His belief in God and County were evident. He was a husband, father to five children and a friend to many. He was know and well liked in the farming community (Kimo) that he called home.

William Edd Montgomery died at his residence Thursday at 4:40 p.m. A lifelong resident of Lawrence County,he was aretired farmer and member of the Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be Saturday at 2 p.m at Harmony Baptist church near Moulton with Rev. Ronald Manley and Rev. Wayne Vess Officating. Burial will be in Heflin Cemetery beside wife Burnie Heflin Montgomery.

Survivors include two sons, Alfred Montgomery of Rt 1,
Hillsboro. E.D Montgomery, Rt. 2,Moulton, three daughters, Mrs Elva(Steve)Cole, Rt 1, Hillsboro, Mrs Elsie(Porter) Kilpatrick,Florence,Al, Mrs Lorene(Zelmer) Eades, Hillsboro Rt 2, two brother, Henry Montgomery of Rt 2, Moulton, Earl Montgomery, Rt 1, Courtland, 17 grandchildren and 13 grat-grandchildren

Pallbearers will be Aubury Proctor, Rubert Proctor, Leon Proctor, Gwin Letson, evans Carroll and Louis Austin.
