May Dell Hammack

LANGDALE -- The funeral for Maydell Hammack, 89, will be held Monday, Funral Home Chapel with the burial in the Shawmut Cemetery. The Rev. Jim McCullough and the Rev. E. S. Jackson will officiate.

Mrs. Hammack, who was born Feb. 10, 1896, in Langdale, died Sunday, Feb. 10, at the Lanier Memorial Nursing Home.

She was a member of Shawmut First Baptist Church, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. W. L. Lanier and lived all her life in Shawmut.

She is survived by her daughter, Ruth Heggood; one son, Howard J. Hammack; two brothers, Osmos Lanier and L. F. Lanier, and one sister, Mrs. Willie Hollis, all of Shawmut; one grandchild and two great-grandchildren.
