Mary Lumbert, dau. of Thomas Lumbert and Elizabeth Derby (q.v. Darby), b. at Barnstable, Mass. per town record in April 1669. However, the year of her birth and of her three older siblings is problematic. Per the original town record her eldest sibling Sarah was b. in Dec. 1666, followed by brother Thomas in Mar. 1667, followed by sister Elizabeth in Sept. 1668, then Mary in April 1669, followed by her sister Hannah in Dec. 1671 then brother Jabez in Feb. 1674. If Mary's birth month was April, her gravestone says she was b. in April 1671, which is the date used by the memorialist. She d. of record Nov. 17, 1744 at Barnstable, Æ 74.

On Dec. 11, 1689 of record at Barnstable, Mass., Mary m. Daniel Parker, s. of Robert Parker and his 2nd wife Patience Cobb, b. of record Apr. 18, 1670 at Barnstable, He was an active participant in Barnstable town affairs, Justice of the Peace, a town clerk and representative to the Mass. General Court. He d. Dec. 23, 1728 at Barnstable, Æ 59. They had eleven known children outlined in their father's memorial.

Mary (Lumbert) Parker was the gr. granddau. of Thomas Lumbert, who arrived in May 1630 at Nantasket (i.e. Hull), Mass. aboard the celebrated Mary & John. Thomas was the immigrant ancestor of the extended Lumbert (q.v. Lumbard, Lumber, Lumbart, Lombard, Lambert) family of Barnstable, Falmouth, Truro and Tisbury, Mass.

Based on her gravestone inscription, on the day Mary died she was 73 years old, and Ætatis (i.e., Æ, "Aged," in the XX year of his age) 74. This indicates she was b. on or after Nov. 18, 1670.
