From G. Hinckley's Lothrop Hill cemetery transcriptions in the 2002 NEHGS CD of the Barnstable Town Records.

• Here lyes ye body of Mr. Shubal Dimmock who decd December the 16th 1728 in ye 55th year of his age.

Based on his recorded "Feb. 1673" [i.e., 1673/4] date of birth, on the day Shubal [Shubael] died he was 54 years old, and Ætatis suæ (i.e., Æ, "Aged," in the XX year of his Age) 55.
