Hephzibah, GA – Entered into rest Tuesday, August 10, 2010, Mr. Rick Williamson, 58, husband of 37 years to Gwen Williamson of Hephzibah.
Mr. Williamson was born in Pontiac, Michigan and was the youngest of seven children. He enlisted in the U.S. Army after graduating from high school. He served 3 tours in Germany, 1 in Korea and retired after 20 years of service. Mr. Williamson was a member of First Southern Methodist Church of Augusta, but attended Hephzibah Southern Methodist Church. He enjoyed hockey, having played most his life, and enjoyed attending the Augusta Lynx games since its inception.
Other family members include his brother: Don Williamson and mother-in-law: Jewel Hutto.
A graveside service with full military honors was held Friday, August 13, 2010 at 10:30 A.M. at Westover Memorial Park with Rev. Jerry O'Neal and Rev. Dan Plunkett officiating.
