Mrs. Light was born on Tuesday, 01 March 1881, to Charles Hallenquist Dodson, Jr. and Sarah Gemina Plumlee Dodson, in Parker County, Texas. She was the fifth of nine children born to this union.
She was united in marriage to Plead Green Light on Friday, 19 June 1903, in Parker County, Texas. Mr. Light preceded Lucy in death on Sunday, 06 June 1943. They were married 39 years, 11 months. To their union was born a single child: son Charles Raymond Light.
Lucy was preceded in death by her parents, sister Mary Elizabeth Dodson Holloway, brother Charles Robert Dodson, sister Julia Nora Dodson Watts, brother William Monroe Dodson, brother James Martin Dodson, sister Chellie Ann Dodson Pugh, and sister Pearl Gertie Dodson Braxton.
Survivors include son Charles Raymond Light, and brother Milburn B Dodson, as well as numerous extended family and friends.
Interment occurred at East Greenwood Cemetery of 500 East Front Street, Weatherford, Parker County, Texas.
