Funeral for Mrs. Fred Weiser, 94, was May 10 at the Church of Christ with Pastor David DeFor officiating and interment at Pleasant View Cemetery, Hartley, Iowa. Mrs. Weiser died May 6 [1984] at Adrian Memoril Nursing Home where she had been a resident for two years.

Bessie Mina Schlarbaum was born July 24, 1889, at Hartley, Iowa, to John and Sarah Gnagy Schlarbaum. Bessie grew up and attended school in Hartley.

She and Fred Weiser were united in marriage July 20, 1914, at Hartley, living there until 1937. They then lived at Ocheyedan and Spirit Lake for a period of time. Mr. Weiser preceded her in death in 1963. Mrs. Weiser then lived in Worthington until moving to Adrian.

Mrs. Weiser is survived by two childen, Burdette Weiser, Worthington and Mrs. Dale (Evelyn Joyce) Stillwell, Seal Beach, Calif.; one granddaughter, Kim, Mrs. Dennis Wasmund, Worthington; three great-grandchildren; one brother, Orle Schlarbaum, Arnolds Park, Iowa; and one sister, Winefred Sicard, Hartley, Iowa.
