Shearer, Mrs. Emily Adeline, 1515 Durand Street, widow of John N. Shearer, passed away Tuesday evening at her home. Age 83 years. Emily A. Martin was born Sept. 25, 1872 in Fenton, Mich. In 1891 she was married to Friend W. Rogers in Manistee. He predeceased her Oct. 8, 1904. In 1906 she was married to Mr. Shearer in Unionville, and in 1921 they moved to Saginaw. Mr. Shearer predeceased her in 1934. The deceased was a member of Ames Methodist Church. Surviving are three daughters and two sons, Mrs. David Wing, Mrs. Etta Rogers, and Edwin A. Rogers, all of Saginaw; Mrs. L. P. Rider, New Brunswick, N. ., Frank W. [illegible], Sedro Wooley, Wash. Funeral services will take place at 1 p.m. Friday at the Case Chapel. Rev. R. J. Lautner will officiate, with burial in Hickory Island Cemetery, Unionville. Friends may call at the chapel after 7 p.m. Wednesday.
