BROWNSVILLE — Cora D. Meredith, 87, of Mammoth Cave, died at 7:30 a.m. Jan. 23, 2011, at her residence.
The Edmonson County native was a press operator and a homemaker. She was a daughter of the late Bennie Weldon Kidwell and Texie Mae Jaggers Kidwell, and the wife of the late Claude Meredith.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Audrey Gayle Carroll. Funeral is at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Hill Grove Missionary Baptist Church, where she was a member, with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation is in progress today until 9 p.m. and begins at 9 a.m. Wednesday at Gravil Funeral Home.
Survivors include a son, Dwight Meredith and his wife, Mary, of Mammoth Cave; two daughters, Marcia Smith and her husband, Jimmy, and Doris Pierce and her husband, Ricky, all of Mammoth Cave; two sisters, Ollie Meredith of Louisville and Daphna Pack of Mammoth Cave; eight grandchildren, Tracy Meredith, Darren Smith, Christy Williams, Mike Smith, Chad Pierce, Nicole Taylor, Kim Garrett and Kyle Pierce; and 11 great-grandchildren.
