Colonel Jackson represented the Muskingum-Perry District in the Senate of the 63rd and 64th General Assemblies and was
in the war of rebellion, first as Captain of Company E 17th O.V.I. (3 months service) and next as Major of the the 11th O.V.I. and lastly as Colonel of 199th O.V.I
