Emeline Ruth (Galloway) Anderson-Franks, 74, died Sunday evening December 10, 1978, in her home in Aledo, Illinois. The former Emeline Galloway was born Dec 23, 1903 in Aledo, a daughter of Jennie (Graham) and Elsworth Galloway. She was a graduate of Aledo High School.

She married Earl Anderson in Aledo on Jan 25, 1922. He died in 1940. She then married Marvin Franks on Sept 13, 1942 in Kahoka, MO, and the couple farmed in Millersburg Township.

Emeline was a member of the West Aledo Jolly Neighbor Club, the Home Extension Service, The AARP, Columbian Club, and the Mercer County Hospital Auxiliary. She was a member of the United Methodist Church, Aledo, where she was active in the Priscilla Circle.

She was also preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.

Surviving are: her husband; three sons: Robert Anderson of Elks Grove Village; Don Anderson of Rock Island; and Larry Anderson of Galesburg; a step-son, Roger Domme of Marietta, GA; nine grandchildren; three sisters: Dora Rockey of Ottawa; Stella Hyett of Aledo; and Eva Pawson of Bradenton, FL.
