Services Held for Operator of Farm Gate Manufacturing Company

Funeral sevices for O. E. (Earl) Whitaker, well known Greenfield resident, were held at the Greenfield Church of the Nazarene Tuesday afternoon. Burial was made in Park cemetery. The Pasco Funeral Home was in charge of funeral services.

Mr. Whitaker was stricken shortly before noon Saturday. He had walked across a field in northwest Center township and had just returned to his parked car when stricken.

He had manufactured farm gates in his plant on South Pennsylvania street for a number of years.

Mr. Whitaker was born in this county the son of John D and Glendora Alice (Perkins) Whitaker and had lived here all of his life. He lived in Mohawk for several years before moving to Greenfield where he was a member of the Church of the Nazarene.

He is survived by the wife, Clara E (Alford) Whitaker, and seven children, Lloyd of Mohawk; Mrs Pauline Leary, this city; Mrs. Dorothy McClammer, Greenfield route; Irwin Whitaker, Mrs. Lois Garriott, Mrs. Helen Shaw and Mrs. Norma Hayne, all of Greenfield. Also surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Tina (Arza) Cox, of Mohawk, and Mrs. Flora (Frank) Reeves, Greenfield route. There are 28 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
