Stacy married Sarah Anderson 1 April 1808 in Twiggs Co. Georgia. They had 14 children. They and some of their children moved to Texas from Jones Co. Mississippi in about 1852. They moved to Jefferson County, Texas and then in 1858 the area they lived in was formed into Hardin County, Texas. They would have lived in North East part of Jefferson County, Texas. They are buried in Collins Cemetery. "Hardin County Texas Cemeteries" by Southeast Texas Gen. & Historical Society. Says Collins Cemetery on Hwy 69. Listed in #26 Collins Cemetery, page 112, Stacy Collins.
Their graves can be located today, in a pasture beneath a majestic tree, as isolated as they were when they first made their journey.
