Last Rites Held for Thomas A. Swafford Friday

Last rites for Thomas Alfred Swafford, 76, retired farmer of 438 North Chamberlain Avenue, were held Friday, December 11 at 4 P.M. in the Rockwood Avenue Methodist Church. Mr. Swafford died suddenly at Chamberlain Memorial Hospital Thursday at 9:30 A.M.
Surviving are: widow, Mrs. Nettie Swafford, Rockwood; children, Amos, Lima, Ohio; Lonas, Spring City; J.C., Milo, Tenn.; Mrs. John Hankins, Pikeville, Mrs. Lee Gaines, Chattanooga; Mrs Garland Swafford, Rockwood; Mrs. R.E. Tefer, Harriman; Mrs. Robert Cunningham, Rockwood; and Mrs Noland Holloway, Elyria, Ohio; one brother Lloyd Swafford, Milo, Tenn.
Interment was in Oak Grove Cemetery. Rev. C.F. Smith and Rev. D.B. Wright officiated. Pallbearers were: Carl Kirby, T.P. Anderson, H. Rogers, Luther Brandon, Will Goss, John Howard, John Martin, and Jack Knight.
Booth Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
