Mrs. Dean To Be Interred

Hamlin, Dec. 26 - Mrs. J. R. Dean, daughter of William Stanley, second cousin of Abraham Lincoln, died at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Anson.

Born January 6, 1862 at Florence in Williamson County, she came to West Texas in 1904 to reside in Anson. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church.

Survivors are a brother, S. P. Stanley of Odom; two sisters, Mrs. Mattie Tucker and Mrs. Maggie Tucker of Florence; three sons, J. S. Dean of Sylvester and W. B. Dean of Anson [3rd son not included]; and six daughters, Mrs. W. H. Haines of Anson, Mrs. W. W. Haskin of Chehalls, Wash., Mrs. J. C. Robertson of Farwell, Mrs. Jessie Harrison of Los Angeles, Mrs. W. W. Brownlee of McCaulley and Mrs. O. H. Stribling of Sylvester.

The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at the Golan church north of Merkel, with burial in Newman Cemetery. Rev. O. M. Jones of Sylvester will officiate.
