Vivian Barrios Griffin, 87, a native and resident of Golden Meadow passed away on May 12, 2019.

A visitation will be held at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church in Golden Meadow on Wednesday, May 15, 2019 from 9:00 am until service time. Funeral Mass will begin at 11:00 am with procession following to burial in Hebert Cemetery.

Mrs. Vivian is survived by her son; Alden “Pookie” Griffin, Jr. (Debra), daughter; Gail Griffin Soudelier (Carl), grandchildren; Elizabeth, Victoria, Coby, Jace, and Shannon, and great grandchildren; Toni-Jo, Jeremy, Holden, Lennon, Kyle, Walker, Jaden, and Madison.

Mrs. Griffin was preceded in death by her husband; Alden J. Griffin, Sr., son; Anthony “Tony” Griffin, granddaughter; Scarlet, brothers; Roy Barrios and Joe Barry, and sisters; Iona Melancon and Geraldine Danos.

She was a great mom, an excellent cook, a loving person, and will be greatly missed.
