Mary Louisa was the only daughter born to Thaddeus Dean and Mehitable Cutter Russell. Her father owned and operated a successful Inn/ Tavern in NYC. She met and married Peter H. Marshall son of Alexander H. Marshall and Catherine Brower, on January 26, 1854. The couple made their home in NYC but they did not have any children.
