He resided in Mineral County, Nevada prior to the war.

He enlisted in the Army on July 28, 1943 in Salt Lake City, Utah. He was noted, at the time of his enlistment, as being Single, with dependents.

Bill was "Killed In Action" when his B-24 crashed in Bungay, England during the war.

He was awarded the Purple Heart.

He was originally interred in England and was later repatriated here on August 26, 1948.

Having been born in Texas & enlisting in Nevada, it is currently "unknown" why Arizona is shown on his headstone and that is believed to be a mistake.
